made some animations of OG spike (left), #Delta (middle), & #Omicron (right) variants w/ @fiona_chembot today! spinning around like this, you can really see how extensive the mutations are on omicron compared to delta 😳 blue = point mutation, red = deletion, white = insertion

What is the CDC’s allergy to masks? From May when they went against WHO & told vaccinated people to unmask (as delta was arriving), to now (w/ omicron lurking) they still won’t educate the public #CovidIsAirborne & can be spread even among the vaccinated. Everyone should Mask Up.

We need a website that tracks which leaders of nations, states, cities, and public health departments and organizations have actually said the words "COVID is airborne" and shared #COVIDisAirborne on social media. The US hasn't, the WHO hasn't... two years in...

Thank you sir. Could you kindly confirm that #COVIDisAirborne and encourage airborne precautions as a priority?
.@WHO takes the Omicron emergence extremely seriously, and so should every country. We call on all countries to optimize public health and social measures, and ensure that high-risk and vulnerable individuals in all countries are fully vaccinated immediately. #COVID19

On top of not talking enough abt #COVIDisAirborne & precautions needed (N95s, ventilation, HEPA etc), PH & govts don't talk abt #LongCovid. That's what concerns me most. If we included how many ppl were still suffering debilitating sx 6//8/12 mos out, would we be more proactive?
